COM.SAR cleans data centres from the room to the hardware: racks, servers, switches and other IT components inside and out, alongside floors, raised-floor voids and technical areas. Building-services equipment can also be included to meet your requirements. We agree the scope, responsibilities and documentation with you before work begins.
What we clean
Your requirements define the scope. We coordinate cleaning depth, components and delivery with your infrastructure, manufacturer requirements and operational approvals.
- Racks, server cabinets and containment systems, inside and out
- Servers, switches and other IT and network devices, inside and out
- Floors, plinths, raised-floor areas and cable trays
- Building services, low- and high-voltage equipment and transformers, inside and out within the agreed scope
Working around your operations
We coordinate work areas, equipment access and service times with your IT, facilities and system managers. Internal cleaning, any required opening or disassembly and reassembly are defined in the scope. The required operating state, shutdowns or electrical isolation and respective responsibilities are clarified before work begins.
Integrating ESD precautions
Cleaning in sensitive IT areas must fit your ESD control arrangements. We coordinate methods and equipment with the approved surfaces and your site procedures. Additional requirements for personnel, clothing and access are agreed before work begins.
Particle measurement and agreed cleanliness targets
Our in-house particle measurement adds an objective baseline to the cleaning project. Before-and-after measurements can help identify changes when sampling points and conditions are comparable. If ISO Class 8 under ISO 14644-1 is agreed as a target, we align the cleaning and measurement scope accordingly.
Useful documentation
The agreed records identify treated areas, relevant observations and the work carried out. Measurement data is included when measurement is commissioned. This information helps you plan further measures and suitable cleaning intervals.
Frequently asked questions
How often should a data centre be cleaned?
This depends on dust ingress, usage, building work and your cleanliness targets. We discuss an interval based on the site condition and agreed requirements.
Can cleaning take place during live operation?
This requires a site-specific assessment. Protective measures, affected areas and service windows must fit your operational and safety procedures. There is no blanket approval for every system.
Do you also clean inside racks and hardware?
Yes. We clean racks, servers, switches and other IT devices inside and out according to your requirements. Equipment type, accessibility, manufacturer instructions and required approvals determine how the work is carried out.
